Reference Sheet - Africa by ARVEN92 Reference Sheet - Africa by ARVEN92

Join Africa-comic group!

I know, I'm so sorry, I should have posted this earlier D8
But I didn't have time to until today ;_; Oh well, it's here now, right in time for the contest! *phew*

It's Africa's new, definitive reference sheet! :)
In the end, I made her design overall slender but still muscular, because leopards are not that feminine, not even female ones :)
As many of you suggested, I rounded her cheekbones and kept her row of rounded spots. Also, I deleted the brown streak on her spine, whereas I'll keep it on Chui.

I also added a little about her on the reference :) If you have any questions about her, I'll be happy to answer! (except if it involves revealing plot details, in that case, I can't answer ;))

Age: approximately four years
Music theme: "Strangers like me", by Phil Collins

I really hope you like her!

For the color code you had stuff like: #031, is that referring to the pencil color? If so what kind, Prisma Colors I'm guessing?
ARVEN92 Featured By Owner Aug 21, 2014  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
You're right :) Only, the pencils I use aren't Prismas, but Caran d'Ache Supracolor Soft :)

im so glad you set this story in Tanzania, as its no often a setting for stories. Its the place i grew up, i've walked through the villages of the maasai, had lunch in the middle of a safari park, swam in the Nile River. Lived 10 years in Africa, so if you need any clearing up on information, facts and other things please say.
i love the comic alot. Its so great.

Thank you very much!
And my, that is really brilliant! Thank you very much for your help, I'd love to receive tips and suggestions from someone who has actually lived in the place where I set this story :D

I was thinking of giving the Maasai a cameo appearance in some of the pages. I know they are allowed to enter Ngorongoro Crater in order to herd their cattle, and I was wondering, do you know what type of cattle do Maasai possess? :)
Thank you so much! 8D

at most i can say with the cattle, from memory the horns on bulls are huge, like corn cobs on heads.…. Maasai villages, there are probably some
by nature reserves, cant comfirm wheather they are there, but they must be. I remember a layout of a village and how they
herded the cattle. They used Boma's, mud houses and occasionally drank the blood of cows. I should probably just send you a note of it.

My, that is fascinating! Maasai have always interested me, what a beautiful culture!
And sure, I would love to read about that! :)
Thank you very much for your help :D
