....And we finally get to the end.

...Of this chapter, obviously :D

Yes! The first chapter of Africa is completed, eeeee I'm so proud! I'm honestly thinking of printing it at an editor's this time, but I don't know how it works or who would be willing to read/buy this enough to get it actually printed.

Anyway, enjoy this page!
Well now... Africa has never looked at Nadira like that. In an instant, she understands that Africa has changed... like everything else within that same day. An old leopard is leaving and a new one is coming. Also, Paa mentions "the zebras"! Get ready for a bunch of new characters in the next chapter! ;)

Also, Giza's face. Will it really be the last we see of the old leopard? What exactly is on her mind? O:

Also, hopefully I'll be somewhat more free for August. Wish me luck, tomorrow I'm going to have my last exam. If I pass it, I'll be more free than I've ever been in the last two years. I'm longing for it. REALLY HARD. You have no idea. I've been insanely stressed these last couple months. And to think that, after tomorrow, it might (magic word is 'might') be all over, my guts tingle with excitement :)

Alright, it's critique time! :3

I love this page. How you added the rainbow in the fifth panel makes this page seem, well, interesting! How you draw the gazelles, I have to say, is wonderful. I could never do that!

The fans of this must feel bad for Africa, I have to say-- She's turned on her first friend already. Giza's expression on the final panel is very interesting, like you said-- what is she thinking, and what will she do?

Once again, arven, you have made another brilliant comic page! :D I wish you much luck making the comic!
What do you think?

This page is awesome, the looks on their faces are outstanding, Giza on the last panel is looking more proud than ever, but she wount show it. The male's defeat is something that Africa will never forget. But turning to paa and his mother, growling, was something she must do, for her mother. Overall i think that this page is simply gorgeous, how do you do such thing only on a A4 format paper? It looks like you drawed this on a computer, put you just copied it onto the computer, making it look real. I just love your work !

Are you sure you're not using magic to make these comics?
Coz seriously, I have never seen anyone be so great with making traditional art comics/mangas like you have! On deviantART, that is^^;
It seriously looks like a true professional comic/manga artist's work, and I think you are truely professional!
This is a comic you could find in a store!!!:happybounce:

Your skills are absolutely amazing. I've always refrained from using colored pencil because all the ones I have are crappy and I never learned how to properly use them.

Whoa, thanks a lot!
I honestly love traditional media <3 They give off a peculiar feeling that I feel digital could never achieve :) Besides, I'm a dunce at digital art XD I couldn't use Photoshop to save my life :'D

I love traditional media too ^.^ it's just got a natural feel to it for me. Digital... It looks great and I wish I could do it but I don't have the patience or time to learn very well

I love it so far!

I have another question (sharry I'm so annoying you now XD) But how do you make the panels? By first making them and then drawing it? Or do you draw the panels digitally, then print it and then draw and color it?

Thank you a lot^^

And no worries, you're not annoying me^^

I draw the panels directly on paper along with the rest of the page :) I usually make a scheme on another paper to see what it'll end up looking like, but I do draw the panels first, then add drawings in them :)
